Mind and Body in Balance
Watch: Jaw dropping performance in Valletta
On the sixth of October, Slackliner Malta organized a special event for the Notte Bianca 2018, Valletta. Fifteen riders from different backgrounds and countries competed and participated in the first ever Slackline competition in Malta.
Riders at the competition had to impress the public and the judges with style, stunts and different combos while balancing and bouncing on the slackline (50mm wide webbing). Each participant has been evaluated by different criteria such as difficulty, skill, amplitude and creativity on the manoeuvres.
The event attracted thousands of spectators, which gave the athletes a boost in moral and physical performance. The cheering and euphory from the crowd were felt from the riders and was a big plus to their incredible show.
The winner from the Amateur competition was the Italian; Giolo Thomas, and from the professional competition; the Spanish Mikel Ros, being followed by Bruno Toso and Adrian Isla, second and Third Place consecutively.
Slackliner Malta organizes events in Malta since 2015 such as Performances, Workshops, Teambuilding, Kids activities and we are planning a bigger Slackline competition for the next year!
